Being a wedding photographer in Colorado Springs, I have successfully photographed many, many weddings at Spruce Mountain Ranch. This venue is distinct among wedding venues on Colorado's Front Range. It has spectacular mountain views, and as a functioning Angus Seed Stock cattle ranch, it has all the features you would expect of a ranch-style wedding venue.
Spruce Mountain Ranch is a historic location that has many options for a wedding ceremony and reception. The first of these options is Albert’s Lodge. Albert’s lodge is decorated with rustic elegance and features a floor-to-ceiling wood burning fireplace, a built-in bar, and an inviting front porch for warm days. But, when it’s cold, the room also features indoor/outdoor capabilities with large doors on one side of the space, which open to a courtyard lit with market lights. Albert’s Lodge comfortably accommodates up to 250 people.
The other option for a western-style wedding is the Upper Ranch, which features the Ponderosa Room. A much larger space, this room features rustic, yet sophisticated decor, and state of the art audio visual equipment. The room also features a stage, so it’s a top choice for couples who want to feature a band at their wedding ceremony or reception. The spacious Ponderosa Room can comfortably hold up to 600 guests.
